Fabbrica – Sunday Brunch
I often get so busy in my everyday routine I forgot sometimes how enjoyable it is to just get together with my long-time girlfriends and hangout. We finally did just that after the busy holiday season and spent it at Fabbrica over Sunday brunch. One of many restaurants owned by Mark McEwan serving Italian cuisine. The brunch menu had Italian touches and ingredients but dishes were more typical of what you would find on a typical North American breakfast menu. Dishes like hash, french toast, pancakes and eggs benedict. I ordered the breakfast of champions, steak and eggs, which constisted of slices of skirt steak grilled to medium with two perfectly fried eggs (runny yokes and all) served with a dollop of fresh salsa verde and homemade bomba (almost like a tapenade but made with a variety of vegetables, other than olives). I hardly make steak at home so it was a nice treat. Considering how decent the food is, I’m surprised the restaurant wasn’t busier but allowed us to really take our time 🙂
