Sweet Jesus
Some of you might be thinking how crazy I am for eating ice cream in the middle of winter but it’s ice cream, I just can’t stay away. About five or six months ago, Sweet Jesus opened up on John Street in Toronto, tucked away behind La Carnita serving all kinds of specialty coffee/espresso drinks and pimped out soft serve in cones/cups. There are a dozen or so different specialty soft serve combinations on the menu and they occasionally add new seasonal flavours in addition to specialty coffee and espresso drinks. My first ever pimped out cone from Sweet Jesus was the Birthday Cake and as you can imagine, it started with a base of vanilla soft serve with a layer of vanilla icing, chunks of birthday cake, sprinkles and then topped with a birthday candle – so yummy! But I must admit, it was a pretty messy eating experience. I think a third of the topping ended up on the ground. I literally had to bend over and bite off the chunks of birthday cake from the soft serve so that the crumbs and chunks I couldn’t catch didn’t stain my clothes. So a tip for all of you – order it in a cup! Enjoy!

Birthday Cake starts with a vanilla soft serve base, birthday cake chunks, vanilla icing and sprinkles.
Presidential Sweet has a vanilla soft serve base with sour green apple, caramel sauce, salted pretzels and toffee bits.
Skor & Ritz Pie with vanilla soft serve, skor bits, ritz cracker crumb and caramel sauce.
Campfire S’mores starts with burnt marshmallow soft serve, graham crackers and chocolate sauce.
Pumpkin Pie with a pumpkin spice & vanilla soft serve, pumpkin pie filling, flaky pie crust topped with whipped cream.
