Happy New Year!

December 31st and January 1st are always about looking back over the past year and looking forward to the next.  And it was especially true this new year’s eve.  As we look to 2013 I will admit, I am one of those people who sets resolutions or goals – something to focus on, and this year is no different.  As part of my resolution to eat well and be more conscious about what I take in, my friend S and I decided to have a baking session making homemade granola and breakfast cookies using nothing but natural ingredients and no processed sugar.  We tried something new as a sweetner, agave syrup!  A fantastic substitute for processed sugar and its all natural (similar to honey) – no chemicals.  And I have to admit, you can easily buy granola but man, homemade just tastes so much better!  So here’s to 2013, Happy New Year!
