Happy Chinese New Year!
As we say goodbye to the year of the Dragon and welcome the year of the Snake, I sit here reading my horoscope (thanks J) as I do every year. I don’t necessarily take horoscopes word for word but it is definitely entertaining to read and according to the horoscope, the star of relationship is on my side this year 🙂 Horoscopes aside, a friend took some of us out for Peking duck since we’ve never tried it before and according to him one of his favourite places making Peking duck is Chung King out in Markham, at a strip mall just north of Toronto. What I love about Peking duck here is that not only do you get to eat the crispy skin but two other dishes that are made from the meat of the duck and the bones from the duck. They utilize everything. It was delicious! My favourite was the crispy skin, something about the fatty skin in a very thin wrap with scallions, cucumbers and hoisin sauce tastes so good! you must try Dayali! it's a restaurant chain from beijing, specializing in peking duck! :) i have a VIP card if you want to borrow, perhaps we can try to connect with Em/Andre and all go together. it's quite a different experience - and lots of fun if you go with a big(ger) group!
