To be honest, I first heard about porchetta while watching Eat St. on the Food Network. Then when I read about Porchetta & Co opening up in Toronto, I had to put it on my ever-growing list of places I have to try! After what seems like eternity, I finally had the chance to check out the joint this past Wednesday with G. Because it was my first time, I had to go with the classic Porchetta sandwich – it already comes with crackling (crunchy skin pieces) but added grainy mustard and truffle sauce! For sides, their roasted potatoes and coleslaw. G went with the platter with baked beans. The porchetta was tender but the crackling is what took this sandwich from good to wow! Texture-wise, it reminds me of chips on a sandwich except better! So Tasty!
